Extra material
Order area = measured area × (1 + allowance %)
The allowance is applied before any tile or box rounding.
Tile count
Tile equivalent = order area ÷ actual tile area
Count results appear only when tile or sheet dimensions are known.
Box count
Boxes = round up(order need ÷ box capacity)
Capacity can be entered as tiles per box or manufacturer coverage per box.

What this estimate assumes
- Every entered project surface is rectangular, flat, and non-overlapping.
- The allowance is a planning input—not a guaranteed loss rate. Adjust it for the layout, tile variation, cuts, pattern matching, breakage, and desired spares.
- Actual manufacturer tile or mounted-sheet dimensions and box coverage are used; nominal sizes and package formats are not assumed.
- Grout-joint width, layout direction, borders, mixed formats, and grout quantity are outside this MVP estimate.
